About us
Thank you for your consideration to join or contribute to the Lambda Letters Project. Besides fundraising events, Lambda Letters relies solely on the generosity of its dues-paying members and donors to operate.
Our work reflects two distinct areas of focus:
Lambda Letters Project conducts political lobbying work to influence legislation and otherwise make California's policies and practices consistent with the intention of our mission. We do this by promoting constituent contact through letters and our electronic systems. Our members receive printed sample letters each month that target specific bills, as well as electronic and action alert e-mail notices when it is important to initiate quicker responses. However, our emphasis remains on recognizing that behind our letters and supporters are real-life stories and passion to fair and equal justice.
The history of civil and human rights progress is grounded on the voices of ordinary people seeking change, and LLP reflects those progressive successes.
The Lambda Letters Project is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit. Your donations may not be tax-deductible but are directed as the legislative action source of our work. (Federal Tax ID: 68-0189865)

Lambda Letters Foundation provides supplemental educational support, workshops, mailings, and the production of materials that help inform the public and lawmakers about:
Letters (even copy-and-paste electronic versions) carry personal stories that need to be heard. LLF uses grassroots advocacy when policies and laws are being debated and implemented.
The Lambda Letters Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit and your donations may be deductible in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. (Federal Tax ID: 20-0385575)
