AB 205 was passed and signed by Governor Davis in September 2003. This bill grants registered domestic partners most of the rights and duties of marriage. Do you know what those rights and duties actually are? The Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund has posted a very informative table on their site that itemizes the rights and duties provided by AB 205. We urge you to read it and be informed about this important piece of legislation, which takes effect on January 1, 2005.
